TEG – A Caring Community
At TEG, we never forget that we are part of a much larger global community. We are honored and blessed to count many talented professionals from across the globe in the TEG family. From executive management to entry-level employees, we encourage our dedicated team to participate in activities that make a difference in the communities where we work and live as well as across the globe.
We support a wide range of community outreach activities ranging from support for higher education to lending a hand on Habitat for Humanity construction sites. We’re always looking for new opportunities to give back. We firmly believe that community outreach is central to our mission, and we’re proud of the enthusiasm and generosity of our employees.
Here’s an overview of some causes we’re supporting:
Higher Education – endowing a scholarship fund at The Volgenau School of Information Technology at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA/Washington, DC). This perpetual fund will provide a scholarship to a hard-working individual pursuing a degree in the IT field.
High-Risk Teens – providing financial support to Youth For Tomorrow (YFT). YFT is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and compassionate environment for at-risk youth who have been abandoned, abused, or otherwise alienated from family and community.
Across the Globe– providing financial and programmatic support to the Community Coalition for Haiti(CCH). CCH provides a ray of hope to Haiti’s most vulnerable population through quality health care, rebuilding of homes and establishment of sustainable agriculture, clean water, and educational and economic opportunities.Providing financial support to Heifer International which provides a uniquely sustainable source of food and economic growth for impoverished communities around the globe in the way of gift farm animals. Their concept of “Passing on the Gift” means recipients agree to share the offspring of gift animals with others in need, making them equal partners with Heifer in the fight to end world hunger.Providing financial support for the establishment of microloan programs across the globe that provide the opportunity for economic growth for women to start businesses to support their families and communities rise from the depth of unfathomable poverty.
Food for the Hungry – supporting the Larimer County Food Bank (Ft. Collins, CO); So Others Might Eat (SOME) of Washington, DC; DC Central Kitchen through direct corporate contribution and hands-on volunteer support.
